Private Piano Lessons

  • Students will receive 30 - 60 min lessons according to their level.
  • I will charge $80 per hour.
  • I expect payment at the beginning of each month.
  • I offer several opportunities for students to play in public.

Accompanying

  • I am available to accompany all instruments.
  • I expect music to be provided one week before a rehearsal and one month before a performance.
  • I will charge $30 per rehearsal and performance.  Payment is due upon each session.

Recent News

This spring we are preparing for a Recital in late March, a Ribbon Festival with area teachers and students April 2nd, and an adjudication the first week of April.  Our recitals are open to the public.  An adjudication is a private performance for a judge.  The students perform a minimum of three songs by memory along with the scales and chords that the songs are written in.  The judge will give a critique on the students performance in written format.  This type of performance is a wonderful challenge and an experience many students do not here in Alaska.
This Christmas we had our Christmas recital.  Students performed a solo and participated in a Christmas rhythm song using Red and Green Solo Cups while being accompanied by the piano.  This activity was a fun way to begin the holiday season.
